Citing
Libraries and Citing Resources
As librarians, we encourage our users to cite the resources from which they obtain information. Unfortunately, citing is not always an easy task - lots of tiny details and rules.
Sometimes our users need a little more assistance with citing than is offered by the printed publication and style manuals found in libraries. Users may benefit from additional examples, particularly those that are customized for their own institution.
As a librarian and as a student, amy has been called upon to utilize several different citation styles (MLA, APA, Turabian).
amy recommends that any beginning college student strongly consider purchasing bibliographic citation management software - these programs allow the user to type citation information into a form, select a citation style and then print a bibliography.
