Foxy
Thanks for dropping in on Foxy's Lair - a place for some memories, thoughts and pics of a dear friend now gone.
My darling girl Foxy was a sweet little pup adopted from The Daisy Hill Puppy Farm, aka the Animal Welfare Society of Howard County. If you live in the Maryland, DC, or Northern Virginia areas, and are looking for a dog, check the list of rescue organizations and shelters or the breed-specific rescue groups list.
Many pictures of Foxy can be found throughout this site; however, they are all gathered in the Musée du Renard.
Foxy's passing was very difficult - she was a very important part of my life and is still missed. I knew that I, like others mourning the loss of a pet, would eventually want to give Foxy a little memorial, so I wrote my thoughts and feelings down on the night we had to have her put down.
Poor Foxy suffered from both external and internal tumors - she finally had a large stomach tumor that prevented her from being able to take food. Agreeing to have Foxy euthanised still weighs heavily on me, though I know that it was in her best interest.
With the loss of my Foxy, Brianna & Jasper came into my life. But it's Foxy who still holds that truly special place in my heart.
